Margaret Draft is a Vermont poet currently based in Chicago, Illinois. She holds a BA in English Literature from Smith College and an MFA in Creative Writing from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.

Winner of the Vermont Book Award for Poetry and Emerging Artist Award in Literature from the St. Botolph Club Foundation, Margaret has also been awarded fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center and The Frost Place for their Conference on Poetry. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Barrow Street, Bennington Review, Poetry Daily, Southern Humanities Review, and elsewhere.

Margaret’s debut collection of poetry, Nowhere Was a Lake, was published by Four Way Books.
