Margaret Draft is a poet and couples therapist currently based in Chicago, Illinois. She holds a BA in English Literature from Smith College and an MFA in Creative Writing from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.

Winner of the Vermont Book Award in Poetry, Margaret has also been awarded the Emerging Artist Award in Literature from the St. Botolph Club Foundation as well as fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center and The Frost Place. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Barrow Street, Bennington Review, Poetry Daily, Southern Humanities Review, and elsewhere.

Her first book of poetry, Nowhere Was a Lake, was published by Four Way Books.
